Last Updated: 09.07.2025

Berlin, Germany – Work Package 9 (WP9): Support the implementation of Comprehensive Cancer Care Networks (CCCNs) has officially launched its efforts to support the implementation of Comprehensive Cancer Care Networks (CCCNs). The kick-off meeting took place from February 24-25, 2025 at the German Cancer Society in Berlin.

Over the next four years, WP9 will continue its work on the CCCN concept to ensure that cancer patients, at all stages of their disease receive high-quality care at every stage of their journey, from early detection and diagnosis to treatment, follow-up, and palliative care when needed. This initiative builds on the Flagship Number 5 of the European Commission’s Europe’s Beating Cancer Plan.

WP9 and its partners will work together to develop and pilot a set of standards, quality indicators, and patient pathways to help establish and certify CCCNs. These efforts aim to raise care standards, build capacity, and improve outcomes for cancer patients across Europe. The meeting marked a significant step forward in uniting stakeholders and advancing the implementation of CCCNs across Europe.
